My friend has a low blood pressure and low pulse rate. She just had hypertension. What could be wrong?

Answer:
Is she taking any medications for her hypertension? Some of these drugs cause low BP and low pulse rate
is your friend on betablocker like metoprolol, sotalol, propranolol or anything that sounds alike? if she is she's probably on a high dose or she took bigger dose that what she needs.this usually cause low blood pressure and low pulse rate.go see his doctor especially if he is experiencing dizziness.
A friend had the same problem. She's had a mini stroke causing blood to leak into her brain. The doctors couldn't tell when the stoke occurred or if it was still a threat. She didn't have insurance so she couldn't continue getting answers.
pulse rate in the 45 to 60 range is called bradycardia in some people this is normal. i have seen people with hypertension under treatment get reading of as low as 100/60do not worry if it does not cause dizzyness or light headedness
and they do not pass out.as long as there are no problems the lower the better.
