My mom experience bone cancer. Can Tian xian liquid cure bone cancer?

my mother experience bone cancer step 4. I have been adviced from some web site about chinese medicine called TIAN XIAN which claim that it can cure cancer even step4. I want to try but it is very expensive. Does someone have any experience about this chinese medicine?
Answer:
This liquid is also called Tien-Hsien liquid. There have been no human clinical trials conducted for the safety or effacy of this product ( no benefit has been documented). No evidence exists that it will benefit your mother.Memorial Sloan and Kettering offers this information about the product:
http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/69397.cf...And, this information from Cancer Help UK:
http://www.cancerhelp.org.uk/help/defaul...No scientific data exists to back up the claims made by websites selling this product. Be very aware.
No. It will be a waste of money
Its some herbal crap that doesn't actually do anything, don't waste your money.
nothing can cure bone cancer, tried feeding my dad shark cartlidge, tree roots, grape seeds, you name it, cancer is a killer, i know
Please dont use herbal medicines of unknown medical efficacy and therapy potential. I understand it is a very difficult reality that you are dealing with. One of your own family suffering from advanced stage of cancer and not having much hope is very difficult.
But such medicines will drain you off your money and in worst scenario may actually harm your loved one.
I visited the websites and found no significant medical information.
In fact, I found fake doctors writing the lab results.
for example, visit this website
http://www.tianxian.com/science/transpla...
it says the author is from capital university, washington US.
I know for sure there is none like that.
This is a herbal product and supplement. Dont spend your fortune on it and as much as I would like to offer patients hope, I sure dont want to give them false hope.
I asked two OMD's (Doctors of Oriental Medicine - Chinese Herbs, Acupuncture, etc.) who are also MD's (Western Medical Doctors) this question. They have both practiced both types of medicine for over 20 years both here and in China. They both agree that there is NO effective cure for bone cancer. They say just keep the patient as comfortable as possible - even if that means hospice. I am sorry that your Mother is so ill. At this vulnerable time, please do NOT let anyone take advantage of your hopes and of your finances. I will keep both you and your Mother in my prayers.
Nine years ago, I cured my own Stage 4 cancer for about $10. It might cost $20 today.I used habeneros peppers, freshly grated garlic, and emulsified fish oil. If I had been losing weight, I would have used evening primrose oil instead.Since then, research from UCLA demonstrated that the active ingredient in hot peppers shrank tumors 80%! That was done without the benefit of the garlic. Cancer cells can't stand garlic and surrender. The peppers potentiate the effectiveness of the garlic.Cancer cells are weak cells when they are exposed to the correct substances. As for bone cancer not being curable, that's only true when using chemo and radiation. I've seen x-ray evidence of bones being repaired in the most advanced cases. The best to you and your mom.Kelley
No, it's a scam.Good luck to your Mom.here best chance is to take the doctor's advice.
You are aware that China just executed the leader of China's food and drug administration for taking bribes to allow counterfeit drugs to be manufactured and sold outside China?http://washingtontimes.com/article/20070...93 people died in Panama recently because tainted glycerin made in China was mixed into cough medicine to be sold outside of China. What guarantee do you have other than a Chinese web page that what these people are claiming is true? As I remember this company claims that Can Tian Xian works against many kinds of cancer. That statement alone should raise red flags because cancer is many different diseases and disease processes and there is no generic cancer treatment.I'm sorry your mother is ill. All the best to you both.

Answer:
I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. My uncle just died after being diagnosed a mere couple of months ago. I work in a health department, and I know that surviving loved ones want and need an answer to WHY. The thing is, there are so many factor that may cause cancer: environmental, lifestyle (including smoking, but also high fat diets, etc.), genetics, etc. Maybe it is the jet fuel, but maybe not. Peace to you, my friend.
I'm really sorry =(
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. You are correct though. Most lung cancers in non-smokers are NOT caused by second hand smoke, but by raydon and other pollutants that come from things like exhaust fumes or refrigerants etc...
i heard cancer is i everyone, but some people it grow some it done, maybe something triggers it off i don't know
your completely right . so sorry for your loss xx
i am so sorry to hear of your loss, but you don't need to smoke to get cancer,i have been told that it only takes a knock to get it,we are all born with it.
A Tad too much is placed on smoking and lung cancer24% of the people that have lung cancer were in the same situ as your mate. Never smoked, folke and friends didn't smoke
I know a guy that developed lung cancer after quitting
24 years ago and lived on an ocean beach There are too many missing links
:( Hi, v sorry to hear about your friend xxx Lost my best pal to cancer last year too - she was 45 too n the nicest person you could ever meet - never smoked or nothing bad at all. Think sometimes God just gets it wrong :( Still miss her so much. Thinkin of you xxxxxxxx
your right though. sorry about your loss
You are absoluetly right and I'm so sorry for your loss. She is right too though. It doesn't matter where you are or what you're doing. When God has completed building your mansion he'll come for you. We are all gifts of God that are only here on earth for a short while. However, we belong to him and he'll come for us when he's ready.
Sorry...But people don't seem to worry about all the everyday fumes that we live with. Like you said...aviation fumes, fumes from cars, trucks, buses etc.
I always ask mothers who worry about people smoking near their children; if they don't think about the fumes shooting straight at their child when they are pushing them along the road.
Children are usually at the same level of any vehicle's exhaust fumes; it's in the air and we all breathe it in.
Not to mention all the other pollution being pumped into the atmosphere by factory's and technology.
I think putting a ban on smoking in public is a 'Smokescreen'
(pardon the pun) The government knows what is actually killing people and giving children asthma...They are only putting the emphasis on cigarettes to brainwash us and stop us from noticing where the real dangers are coming from.
What they should be doing is stopping the cigarette manufactures from adding poisons to the cigarettes; but, no matter what we do...
The air we breathe is sure going to kill some of us.
This is exactly why I hate the anti-smokers. They are convinced that smoking and smoking alone causes cancer. This just isn't the case. While it is true that cigarettes can cause lung cancer and numerous other health problems, there are so many other products out there that cause the exact same things. If people want to ban smoking, then they will have to ban cars, and fuel, and...well, everything else!
Its the second hand smoke its more dangerous
My sympathies are with you.My grandad died on april 28th from cancer and he has never smoked and has always been fit as a fiddle but the 'BIG C' isnt fussy who it chooses thats for sure.To see a man who had led such a pure life have to suffer the way he did was unbearable.Im glad hes at peace and rest now its all he wished for since the day they told him its terminal.

My man has spina bifida, and we are going to be trying to concieve.?

ive been taking prenatal vitamins, but should i be taking anything else? I dont ovulate, so i will have to take clomid when we start trying, like in 2 months.
Answer:
Hey Gracie!
I am 25 years old and living with Spina Bifida. I am also 6 mths Pregnant and all ultrasounds have said that my baby is healthy and does not have Spina Bifida. My husband does not have SB. I was told that if 1 parent has SB the chance of the baby having it is 1 in 100.HOWEVER...if you take folic acid before getting pregnant and for the first 12 weeks(ask your dr how much you should take...it may be more than normal doses) the risk drops to 1 in 1000.which is the same for pregnancies where neither parent have SB. I have just set up a yahoo group for people living with SB to share experiences and to get advice from others. It might be helpful for you to come check it out and get some ideas/advice from people. I would love to see you there and we can talk about lots of other issues you and your man may be facing (or may face in the future) http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/sbhelp...
I hope this helps you!
I don't know what to tell you about concieving, I just wanted to tell you that you should not listen to Samantha or any one like her. Just because he has a problem doesn't mean he isn't as good or better than normal guys.My best friend has Spina Bifida and she is so great. She is the nicest, least judging person I ever met.
You should talk to your doctor but I think the prenatal vitamins should be fine. As long as you are getting enough folate (also known as folic acid or folacin) in your diet, you should be fine. Folate helps protect against birth defects such as Spina Bifida because folate helps in cell replication. Just don't take more than 1,000 mg of folate because it can mask a possible vitamin B12 deficiency you may have. You probably don't have a deficiency but like any other vitamin, too much is not good. Anyway, you can get folate in foods such as green leafy vegetables, avocados, beans, oranges/orange juice, lentils, and some foods that are enriched with folate. Just read labels when you shop to see if they are enriched with folate. Oh, another tip- try to eat a lot of these foods fresh and uncooked because cooking them can destroy the folate. The bottom line is, just continue to take your vitamins and eat as healthy as possible so you get the proper nutrients you and your baby will need. That's the best you can do to prevent any birth defects.I forgot to mention- You don't need to eat any extra calories during your first trimester of pregnancy. For your second trimester, you can add an extra 100 calories to your diet (which is like a light snack) and for your third trimester, you should add 300 calories to your diet.If you have any other concerns, you can email me and i'll try to answer your question. Good luck with your pregnancy!
Hi and congrats on the future little one! The only thing they say to take extra is folic acid. Your nervous system is formed within the first 28 days and that is when spina bifida and other spinal and nervous deformaties are made. Taking extra folic acid along with you prenatals will greatly reduce your chances of having a baby that also has spina bifida. I have spina bifida myself and now have one baby without any defects and one on the way that so far looks good (only 9 weeks along so its still a little early). Best of luck and blessed be to you and your husband in the next few months...

My lungs keep hurting...should I be worried?

Ok, well, I am only 13. Starting about the beginning of the summer, I felt this sharp pain in my heart. However, it is developing on both sides. So, I am thinking it is my lungs, and not my heart. I am a very athletic girl. I weigh 104 lb's, am thin, tall, and do alot of sports like track, cross country, and basketball. When I breath VERY deeply, I get this pain in the area of my heart. But sometimes, it just hurt s a little bit on th right side of my chest. And once or twice this summer, when I was laying down on my back, I had this REALLY painful sharp pain that lasted for like 30 seconds. What could be wrong? Will I need to got o the doctor? I am very worried, and I don't want to die young.
Answer:
Read the following and see if it sounds familiar:
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/costoch...
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/pleuris...If you are otherwise healthy and are not taking medications, your discomfort may just be idiopathic, i.e., from an unknown cause. These two conditions are sometimes common among athletes.
Well if you are 13 years old then you probably would have told your parents about that and they would have you taken to the doctor
Tell your parents and get to a doctor. It is better to go and find out it is nothing than to not go and find out too late that it could have been treated.
u should go to the docor right away it coul be life threating. go get it check out
You should not be worrying about this...tell your parents and ask them to take you to see a doctor. Its probably nothing much but it does need to be checked out soon.
get x-ray
Was up girl. ohhhhh, lungs keep hurting, huh? Nothing is to worry men.. Your the same as me, I'm 13 and I got big TONSILS and suffer last year. Right now, it hurts no more but it's still big... But don't worry cause your just making yourself thinking about when your gonna die... If I were you, talking to God will make you feel better.

My lungs feel very bloated. Is there something I can take to calm it?

I've had it since last night, I don't know if it is something I ate or drank but whatever it is, my lungs continue to feel bloated. Is there something I can take to calm it?
Answer:
I've never heard that expression before. I'm thinking you mean you feel congested? If that's the case let's hope you don't have pneumonia. You might want to try an antihistamine since that helps dry up your membranes or you might want to try an expectorant (makes your mucus thinner so you can cough it up easier.) If you start having problems breathing, coughing blood or green sputum, or you begin running a fever you need to get yourself to a doctor.

My lower leg is swolling and red what should i do?

right above my ankle my inner lower leg on both side is swolling and red does any one know what this is i didnt have no injury or allegric reaction to anything it just got swolling and red sice i started working this weeek i havent worked in like 1 year and a half and at my job i stand for long periods of time and i weigh like 420 pounds and also i have this tingling num buring feeling ive been having on my tigh for like a couple of months already and i wont go away can anyone please give some expert advice with this and if i should go to the doctor
Answer:
you should seek medical attention as soon as possible...those are common symptoms of a blood clot in a vein in your leg. An ultrasound is recommended to rule it out. If there isn't a blood clot, you are probably retaining water in your leg. But usually that happens in both legs...so the next explanation could be poor valves that do not work properly inside the veins in your legs causing pooling of blood in the lower legs, which could ultimately lead to a blood clot. Definitely go and have a doctor order an ultrasound doppler exam to check for a blood clot. And don't wait.
go get it checked out. you might ave some type of circulatory impairment, like deep vein thrombosis.
You migth want to get it checked, you might be retaining water or have kidney failures. I am no expert but, my mom had kidney problems and her legs were getting pink and swollen.
Sorry im no doctor... but maybe your legs are trying to adjust to the fact that you are standing every day for work and sounds like you haven't done something like that in a while so it could be because of that. Couple of months is a long time... I think it'll be best to visit the doctors though just to make sure everything really is okay. It's better to be on the safe side by getting help rather than leaving your thighs loose wondering what's wrong with it.
You need to see a doctor ASAP. It could be serious, it sounds like you are not getting good circulation, and this could lead to other serious problems.
Your symptoms suggest a blood clot. You need to go to the ER; taking an aspirin would be a good idea right now. Please go immediately.
sounds like it could be a deep vein trombosis see a doctor
if it is a trombosis (clot) and and part of it breaks loose it becomes a embolism which can travel through the heart and block the arteries to the lungs that is a pulmonary embolism.if you don't go to a doctor and have a pulmonary embolism you will be meeting friends of mine they have a ambulance with red flashing lights and siren.

My Liver size is Increasing!?

I just went through a regular check up and abdomer ultra sound. Doctors told me my liver's size is increasing little bit because of alot of junk food that i eat. Also, they said its not something too dangerous but i should take care of it from RIGHT NOWI am 20 and work in night shift, what else i can do other than good food?
Answer:
I think the healthy food idea is the best, especially if that is what the doctor told you. You shouldn't take it lightly, either. Go to the health food store and ask what they might recommend for vitamins, or ways to improve your liver function. There is an herb called Milk Thistle that is touted to be good for the liver, but I would consult with your doctor to see if he says it would be O.K. Green tea is also considered a good detoxifier, as far as I know.
If you're eating a diet that's very fatty, it will increase the size of your liver. If you're drinking heavily, ditto. In either case, you don't have much of a choice than to stop doing whatever it is that's making your liver get bigger.
sounds like a fatty liver. I have autoimmune hepatittis, and besides the perscriptions I take, my dr is always on me to take milk thisle. it is an over the counter supplement, which flushes toxins from the liver.

My lips?HHHHEEEELLLPP?

like every so often my lips will begin 2 peel and turn really pink and it seems like i have no skin on them then they get swollen and skinless what is this what should i do i never went 2 the dr. for it because benedryl made the swelling go away but it came bac
Answer:
they seem really dry from the summer heat.put chapstick on and keep them moist
Maybe you have a food allergy. If the foods you are eating make your lips swell, you should see a doctor.
This happens to me sometimes aswell, my lips just seem to get a bit dry and then if you start licking them it gets worse and worse. But I bought an absolutely wonderful product not long ago that did the trick! It's called Lucas' Papaw Ointment and is made from fresh permented fruit. It worked a gem and my lips felt significantly smoother and didn't hurt once I had used it. Unlike lipbalm, it doesn't stay ontop of the lips, it dissolves and releaves and cleanses. I won't go back to normal lipbalm now, you should try it. It is honestly an excellent product which clears up sore lips in about 2-3 days. It can also be used for boils, burns, chafing, cuts, cracked skin, gravel rash, splinters, open wounds and insect bites. It will be in your pharmarcy. I hope that your lips are better soon, I know what you're going through!

My Lips are Chapped and Peeling and Bleeding and OMG HELP!?

My lips are peeling, bleeding, chapped, every single day since early this year. Sometimes when i wake up, take a shower, or after eating. It hurts and it looks so bad, please help =(Some info:1. I never touch my lips.
2. I never peel or play with my lips with my teeth.
3. If i'm not eating, most of the time Vaseline is on my lips to moisturize it.
4. It has been like this since 3 years ago but MUCH worse this year so i am very concerned.
5. I eat healthy, I exercise weekly. Please help, the doctors i saw could not help me much so i am in need of your help.
Answer:
how is the weather? sometimes it's affected if it gets too cold or windy. try drinking a lot of liquids, preferably water.
I was just going to answer..."use Vaseline"....then I see you use it already. Make sure you put it on when you're going to bed so it stays on your lips all night.
I saw a Dr. on tv that said that most chapped lips are from your toothpaste burning the skin cells on your lips. So, he said to always wash your face after you brush your teeth, so you get the toothpaste residue off. Also, make sure that you keep well hydrated.
I had chapped lips all the time, and i'd experienced just about every lip balm in the world :^) through my experience. I recommend ChapStick Overnight Lip Treatment. It's amazing stuff. It works while your asleep to soften your lips tremendously.P.S. You can use it in the day too.
drink lots and lots of water
the probable reason that your lips are chapped is because you lack water ..

drink lots!
EATING is not the prob, the prob is what you are DRINKING (or, I suspect, NOT drinking).Unless you have to take Lasix or some other water pill, you need to be DRINKING 64 ounces of water per day or MORE!I used to have your prob, I now drink about 100 oz per day of green tea, NEVER have that prob anymore summer OR WINTER! :DTry, you might be very pleased! :)PS. Suspect you live in one of the drought areas? ;)
MARY KAY SATIN LIPS... TRY IT I LOVE IT AND THE SET COME WITH THE BUFF AND HEALING STUFF.
u just need a lot of chapstick and as soon as the chapstick dries on ur lips put some more on
I would say use your tooth brush to exfoliate your lips (this also makes them look less pale) make sure you wash off all toothpaste residue after brushing as toothpaste can cause dry lips, use blistex which has a hint of mint and this make the balm penetrate a little better. Don't like your lips cause saliva enzymes can dry your lips. Drink lots of water and if it's cold and windy where you live use a scarf to protect your lips from the cold wind and a lip balm that has sunscreen UV protection in the summer. Vaseline is good but not always enough.

My legs itch a lot after I get out of a shower... what's up with that?

It only happens after I get out of a shower. I don't use too hot of water, and I make sure to wash the soap off thoroughly. This has only been happening within the past year, and nowadays it happens almost everyday. The itching and burning will eventually go away, but not for almost an hour after the shower.Anyone have any clue what could be causing this and how I could fix it?
Answer:
Are you using a new soap or shampoo?? Maybe you are having an allergic reaction. I use Dove sensitive skin soap so I don't have that problem. Good luck!
It may be an allergic reaction. Be aware of what you are putting on your body, especially on the legs since they are the ones that get the reaction. Try asking a dermatologist about it to get the proper treatment.

My Legs Have....And So Do My Arms.?

My legs and arms have these small little bumps and I want them to go away because they make me feel uncomfortable with my self!! PLZ HELP!!!
Answer:
take a bath and add 1 1/2 cup of Heinz vinegar to it (apple cider, brown), it is very good for the skin and hair
i have them to, but when I go tanning they go away.
They are probably just pimples which loads of people have. you could try using an exfoliating cream or gel and see if this works
Can you describe the bumps better?
I had the same problem. Exfoliate and moisturize daily. That fixed it for me.
Try using a moisturizing body wash and a loofah or poof in the shower. This will moisturize you kin and exfoliate it. Often times bumps on the body are a result of either over-dry skin or a buil-up of dead skin. Solving both problems should get rid of the bumps.
Sounds like cellulite...drink less soda and exercise more...Tanning also helps...well, wait, from your little pic, it looks like you don't need to tan...
Try to find a wash that has 2% salicylic acid in it. The bumps are caused by dead skin cells getting in your pores. The salicylic acid acts like a pac man eating up old skin and brings out the fresh skin underneath. A good product is Obagi, but you can only find it at some medical spas and can be pretty costly, so it depends on how bad you want them gone.
exfoliate and moisturize is the key I had them once I used a lotion that had tea tree oil in it, made them go away in like 3-5 days. Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic it is used for cuts, scrapes and acne.

My legs get irritated and a rash developes on my legs.?

I'm off on sunday and monday and when I get back to work, I develope a rash on my legs? I work for a hotel, so I have to walk the floors at night and when I do I get a rash on my legs? When I'm walking it feels fine, then when I'm done walking the hotel floors I notice a rash on my legs. It's weired, It only lasts a day or so and it goes away towards the end of the week. I never get a rash on my legs outside of work when I'm walking around, it's only when I go back to work that first day... WTF?? Is it something in the carpets at work, some kind of chemical that gets on my legs or what? Cause I have to walk the hotel and it's a 12 story hotel, I don't understand it. Ever since I have worked here, this has happened. Can someone please for the love of god, help me..
Answer:
I have a similar difficulty and found answers at this site:
http://walking.about.com/od/medhot/a/leg...
You need to see a doctor if the rash is tiny red dots under the skin. Your veins may be getting inflamed. It is from walking too much or standing too much. Also if above is right you need to wear very good shoes like sas or nurses shoes. The days you think this will happen take breaks and lie flat with your feet above your heart. It may hurt but it will help. Also when the rash appear sleep this way. My mother has this condition.

My knee is giving out?

my knee has been giving out on me on rare occasions, and instead of bending the way my knee is supposed too, it bends sideways, and it's almost like it pops out of joint. it's extremely painful when it happens, but once it happens it hurts for 10 seconds tops and then slowly the pain dimishes. If I get up, I limp for a while, and then my knee goes back to normal.
it started doing this when a kid stomped on the inside of my knee a few years ago. it's happened a total of 5 times. and the more it happens, the more often it does it.
somebody help. I'm only 18, and i hope to god i don't have permanent knee problems.
Answer:
You should probably go see a doctor and see what they say.
It sounds like your ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) was severed. You're going to need to go to an orthopedic surgeon to get x-rays or an MRI. If that is your problem, they can perform surgery to reattach a piece of ligament taken from another part of your body (probably hamstring), and after 6 months of physical therapy you should be almost as good as new. Even if it is not severed, it sounds like you will need some physical therapy for a while. You can function without your ACL, with just physical therapy, but you'll need a strong custom knee brace in order to do sports like skiing. If you don't have the surgery, it can go out again at any time.

My kid has worms. What do I do?

She says they are white and squirming in her feces. How do you get this and what can be done? Any home remedies?
Answer:
go to the pharmacy and get some Pin-X. wash her sheets, blankets and underpants in hot water. go ahead and treat the entire family just in case anybody else got infected.
1. Stay as far away from her as possible.you don't want to get them yourself. 2. Have her eat nothing but hot spicy food for two weeks. That should clean her, and her squirmy little friends, out.
actually all children have worms until about the age of 16 then they die on their own.
Take her to the vet.
Go to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist wich choices they have there are a couple of products that you can by over the counter, or you can call her pediatrician and tell the nurse what it is and she will call a prescription to your pharmacy. What ever you do, do something, this is not healthy, they can start rinking her boold and cause anemia an other complications that don't want in your child, besides she should be freeking out after she saw them, poor thing!
Good luck and I hope this helps!
You should be able to get something to kill them at the pharmacy. Go talk to them. Also have her wash her hands
after she goes to the bathroom. Some people get worms
from getting raw meat or undercooked meat.

My husband was suspected CML, and he passed away 6 months ago. I am afraid my son will inherited it.?

I've been checked my son's blood test, he is 6 years old now, and doctor said there was no blood cancer cell ferocity on his blood. He is just anemia. Is there any possibility that he will inherited cancer during his growth? I am so trauma with my husband's death, it was so quick within 3 months. I should looking for second opinion, I will do it for my son. Do you have a similar cases with me? please share with me.
Answer:
I am so sorry that your husband passed away--I can't imagine how hard that would be with such a young child to raise without his daddy-my youngest son is 6 years old as well. My oldest son was diagnosed with CML (Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia) a year ago--he is 22 years old. He is a Marine and had just returned from Iraq from his 2nd deployment. We were told if CML is left untreated (sometimes you don't even know you have it) it will eventually turn into AML which is the acute version and that has far more serious implications. I wonder how long your husband had any symptoms and was aware that there was a problem too? My son had major joint pain and fatigue and eventually it got to the point where his feet and ankles swelled up so huge and they hurt so bad and he could barely walk, that he was finally admitted and diagnosed with CML. We were told that you could have CML for 3-5 yrs before it turns into Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, so we don't know what stage he was at. Do they have any idea why your husband's death was so sudden and why it was "suspected" CML? I would just hope that they had an accurate diagnosis so that you would not have to have such a heavy weight on you that this could happen to your son as well.I always believed and have read that CML is NOT an inherited disease, so I don't believe your son will have to worry about that. It is mainly caused from the environment--toxins such as benzene and such--I believe my son's was caused from the undepleted uranium sources that he was exposed to in his combat situation over in Iraq. So please don't stress for your son--I believe he will be fine. All my other children were tested and they are all fine (I have 6 children) and we have no leukemia that runs in our family either, so I have no reason to believe that they will get it in their lifetime. Again I am so sorry that you are going through this. Thankfully my son was put on a chemo drug that is designed specifically for CML, and has showed dramatic results with his white blood cell count going down to a normal level. They said that most patients will go into remission on this newer drug without a bone marrow transplant. I am so sorry if your husband did not have that option. He sounds like he may have had the acute version of the same thing--my heart goes out to you. Since you are so aware of what happened to your husband and all his symptoms, you'll be able to notice any changes in your son health wise, but please do not worry and put any more stress on yourself thinking the same thing may happen to your son. He tested fine and I believe you need to move on and believe the best for your son as far as his health goes--think positive thoughts since there is no evidence to suggest that he may get CML as well. Keep the faith :)
Being a Mommy, I don't think that any answer will put your mind at ease. I just wanted to express my heartfelt sympahties for you on your loss, and perhaps you will begin to feel more optomistic after you heal more from your recent loss. The anxiety you are experiencing now I would think is only normal, and perhaps you should see a doctor for anxiety. Living in constant fear is no way to live, and it will cheat you of fun that you could be having with your son. Also, a big healer is to turn to God and to your faith for support. Good luck and God bless.
since the other parent had cancer, there is a chance he might get it. what you can do is submit him for regular medical check up. Cancer can be cured when detected early. Diet consists of natural foods, fruits and veggies are really good in maintaining healthy cells including blood cells. Avoid preservatives as they contribute to developing cancer growth.
I am sorry for your hubby's pass away. I hope your son will be a good new generation.
CML is not hereditary, but there may be a higher incidence for other blood diseases among family members.

My husband suffered a major heart attack 3 years ago he has changed does anyone else have similar experiences?

From a reasonable mainly quiet and understanding person to an opinionated, short tempered, critical and moody person. I know that the experience was life threatening but I find the new person hard to live with at times. If this has happened to other people how did you resolve the situation and accept the changes, this affects so much at times and is very stressful.
Answer:
You might seek some assistance from his doctor. Talk to him about how your husband is acting. It could mean you both could get help with counseling. Good Luck!
I had a friend who had a heart attack. He became self absorbed and short tempered and grumpy. I had to get away from him.
My dad suffered his first heart attack when I was a kid. We didn't know exactly what was happening with him, as he suffered it while out of town. I remember him coming home %26 being how you described- moody, short tempered, etc. We all kind of walked on egg shells around him. Your husband may be depressed. My mom talked to the Dr. about how Dad was acting %26 Dr. put him on Zoloft. He was a very changed man :) Of course, this was 20 years after his first heart attack. My childhood would've been totally different had he been on it then :) He may also feel that life is short so he wants to make sure he lives to the fullest (opinionated, critical, etc.). It's possible that this "new person" has been inside your husband all along %26 now he's decided to not supress that personality anymore because of his close call with death.
My husband had a very bad heat attack 2 years ago.He also had a change in his behavior I finally did alot of reading and talking to other patients.I insisted he see his doctor and I talk to the doctor and told him what going on and he gave him a antidepressant and he is back to normal. It is very normal and most Heart patients take a antidepressant ,It is nice to have him back to where he was before the attack.
He needs counceling and therapy. I had a stroke, not a heart attack. I know it changed me, it is very terrifying and makes you realize how fragile life can be!
I worked as a cardiology nurse for many years and this is not at all uncommon. Lots of heart attack patients suffer from depression. It's a type of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Try to persuade him to see his GP or, even better, speak to his cardiologist if he is still being followed up at an out-patients clinic. There are some psychologists whe specialise in counselling these patients and can make a huge difference to his life. Sometimes anti-depressants help. I wish you all luck.

My husband is prone to boils, is there anything he can do to prevent them?

Answer:
Bathe. Every day.
My Grandma use to say make a batch of cookies and crumbly the eggs shell in it. I wouldn't recommend it, a dermatologist would be a better idea.
Boils are running rampant right now. Most are caused by a staph infection. Staph bacteria is a normal bacteria found in the nose, but it can become overgrown for various reasons and manifest itself in the form of boils. The boils are painful and can be deadly if left untreated. Get him to go to the doctor and the doctor will give him some antibiotics that should clear the problem up. My husband had the same thing and he got one the size of a tennis ball and he FINALLY believed what I was telling him and went to the doctor. He got some Bactrim DS and has had no more boils.
The skin is the body's largest organ, followed by the lymphatic system. Both fight infections and disease by eliminating toxins.I suggest that if he chronically suffers from boils, it is his body trying to DETOX some toxic substances ... does he drink alcohol, smoke, drink tons of cofee or soda...? Is he on any new medications?? Does he work in an oily, smoky, dusty environment??Cleansing baths,
steam baths,
saunas,
would be good to help his skin to purge itself, but more importantly, a detox diet would be of better long-term help to assist the body in cleansing out the impurities or infections it is apparently fighting..There could be a lot more to this than just a skin blockage or irritation.this page has a lot of information about skin rejuvenation and home recipes for skin masks etc.
http://www.best-natural-cures-health-gui...This online raw food guide mentions skin cleansing and detoxing through managing your nutrition
http://www.best-natural-cures-health-gui...There are more, but you can find them as you read more.My husband also used to use something Im pretty sure he called "black cream" although it was white... he used to get a tiny pot from the chemist, and it was supposed to "draw out" what was in the boil and dry it out. I would rather use a home made poultice, for instance a recipe with an oatmeal and honey base...
http://www.best-natural-cures-health-gui...also some really good bath recipes here to help clean his skin regularly
http://www.best-natural-cures-health-gui...Also be aware that sometimes a cold or flu causes boils too, as the body tries to fight it off...If the boils increase in size, or multiply, see your doctor in case he needs antibiotics as well.
around where i live boils and staph have become rampet in our schools and daycares. My 13 yr ols son has had a problem w/ boils...( for about a 6 mth period) my grandmother used to give my dad a pack of raisians a day because he had problems w/ boils as a child...I give my son a pack a day.h e washes with regular Dail soap. I also wash every load of laundry w/ Tide bleach for colors... We have not had a problem for app 4 mths... We he did get them i would put Ictomal( a drawing agent, Looks like black tar.. can get it at Wal-mart.. have to ask for it, comes in a squeeze tube) it will bring it to a head so it will drain and it will not get big and hard also helped it not get infected( when it did come to a head i would take a rag and soak it in warm water and epson salt and do compresses to it to help it drain easier). then i would put triple anitbiotic cream on it.. we only had to fight staph 2x's ... Hope this helps
If he keeps getting "boils" in his armpits, groin, butt and/or inner thighs, he might be suffering from Hidradenitis Suppurativa. You can check out http://www.hs-usa.org for more info.

My husband is on intreferon for hep c his blood is low what foods will help build it back up?

Answer:
I don't know of any foods that will build up his blood count. You didn't say which blood tests were low; white, red, etc. There are other medications the doc can give him if his levels fall below recommended levels, such as procrit for red blood cells and nuepogen for white count. They are both injectables like the interferon. The good thing is they will help him to adhere to the treatment, and that is important in order for him to have his best chance at clearing the virus. I did the treatment seven years ago and have been virus free since Aug. 2000. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. Best wishes to you.

Red meats that contain a high Iron content, if his blood level is low there is a strong probability that he is slightly anemic, even temporarily. Beef is the best food to eat to reproduce blood. Also make sure that he is ingesting enough carbs to keep his blood sugar levels up.
i also inject interferon. i am anemic also. I was told to eat anything with iron. Greens, red meat, etc

My husband is in control of his blood sugar?

my husband is in control of his blood sugar. checks it 3 times a day. he has been to numerous dr.'s for his foot neuropothy and no one can find an answer for the pain. they have tried different meds on him and the lyrica worked for about 2-3 months. now the pain is back. that is why i asked if he could take he lyrica 3 times a day instead of 2 times a day at 75 mg a pill
a pill?
Answer:
I'll say this again:Please do not request advice about drug choice, dosing, or application on YA. It's not a wise move on your part and it's irresponsible of Yahoo to allow questions like this to be posted. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
i work for a doctors office and we have prescribed lyrica 3xday for some patients but it's always best to check with his doctor especially if he's taking other medications
DO NOT take advice on medical conditions from a site like this! Yahoo!Answers is basically an advice forum with a wide variety of randomly-chosen people, most of whom know nothing about medicine or pharmacology. Ask your doctor. They should know what kind of meds he's taking and have all the information they need to give you a good answer.
This is certainly a question for the doctor, however I think you can try massage and acupuncture or acupressure these have been show to help nerve pain, Either way check with the doc.

My husband is diabetic and doesn't have any insurance.?

After a separation of almost a year, we came back and I found out that he's out of insurance and doesn't take any medication at all.( He's self employed, and he hasn't been working for the last two weeks). He's losing weigth, and has bad breath. This week I noticed that he's losing interest in almost everything and he's not eating unless I prepare food for him.Last night, I smell him fruty, and he had temperature of 100.1 and he was covering with a blanket, even temperature is hot. I heard his heart beat and is fast. What are my options to get him some kind of insurance or where do I have to take him for medical care?I'm a self employed, work full time and have a toddler. Please advice. Thank you.
Answer:
Your husband is in ketoacidosis. Call an ambulance NOW and to hell with the insurance!
Regardless of his fear of doctors, he needs to be seen very soon. Do you have a hospital in the area that takes patients without insurance? Some doctors will work with you. He is having diabetic shock probably, don't wait or it will be too late. I wish you luck.
This is bad. Sounds like your husband is going into DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis) he needs to get to the hospital STAT. and get started on antibiotics and insulin therapy regaurdless if he hates shots and dr's. DKA can progress so quickly and kill the kidneys. Is he breathing funny? Have you checked his blood sugar? If he smells fruity he is spilling ketones! You need to check his urine for ketones to see if he is spilling sugar in to his urine! go to ER asap!
Well, I don't live in your state but I do know he NEEDS to get to a hospital! he has to eat all the time (my BF dad has to eat all the time or he will feel weak)type in self employed health care insurance in Google and see what you get. But do it on an American site. I'm doing it in Canada (where I live) and I'm getting free stuff.I'm sorry this is happening to you, but it will all work out, just get him to a hospital! I have a BF that is stubborn too but if he doesn't, are you prepared to watch him do this to himself?
Doctor or no doctor, you're soon going to be on your own. Be wiser about choosing your next partner..
My mom just found out she is diabetic with no insurance as well. She called all the local clinics and found one that you only pay $20 a visit and the medication is really cheap( it depends on your income) so maybe start calling all your local clinics and see what they tell you. Also make sure he eats well and nothing greasy or sweet. He has to be on a good diet.
Go and apply for state aid for him he needs to have meds and be seen by a doctor. State aid rarely turns people down that have a serious problem like diabetes. First take him to the hospital and then go and get on state aid. They will take care of the hospital bills too.
Take him to the er now. Social services there should be able to help him find some help. So what if he doesn't like shots. He has a choice, go to the doctor or die a slow death. Or you can wait for the coma and he has no say about it. Just call the ambulance. I hope it doesn't come to that. Men can be so stubborn at times.
This sounds like a diabetic EMERGENCY! Please listen to the other posts and get him to a hospital. You said he hates shots, but insulin needles are very small and go into the fat (not like the muscle shots from vaccines). You may want to contact his family for help. If he is unwilling to get help, you may have to stay away from him, for the sake of your child. You can't help people who wont help themselves.
don't need insurance, go to www.walmart.com for the list of $4.00 prescriptions you will need a doctors prescrtion
Get your hubby to the hospital. Then get yourself to the department of social services for some medical assistance if you don't have health insurance. . Consult the Diabetes Association in your state, ask for their help, assistance and suggestions on where to go and what to do.

My husband is blind right now due to diabete retinothopy?

he has had several lasers done to both eyes. After his last surgery of a detached retina and had a little eyesight at that time he immediately grew a cataract which he is due to have removed August 29th. We are in hopes that he will regain the eyesight that he had upon surgery. What is you opinion?
Answer:
I wish I could say something here, and make it all disappear. I'd go for it, and just keep hoping and thinking positive. I am feeling a positive vibe, I think he will regain a good part of his vision. So he can see his lovely wife again.
I will prey for him and I really hope that he will regain his sight.
It may or it may not improve his vision, but fer sure, you won't know right away. Even if it does not work, neither of you should regret the attempt. You know what the outlook is if the attempt isn't made, but if you forgo the attempt, you'll always wonder whether or not it could have helped.
Wow, diabetic retinothopy! I've heard of something like this, my cousin's friend also lost his sight to this, too bad he never regained it. But I just hope your husband regains his sight and may god bless you.
As long as he keep his blood glucose levels under control he should regain complete eye sight, but unfortunely that is a 50/50chance and there might be some vision altering . I hope for the best .
But it is a severe one! I pray the alimighty to help him regain vision.
please visit this page u can good answers about ur questions.Get well soon! May God Bless You! http://thediabeteszone.com/
Diabetic Retinopathy is something i see every 15 mins at work. It is truely ashame what diabetes can do to your eyes. Kitten, Depending on what his vision is will give you a better response. Since he already had a Retinal Detachment,..his vision is probably not better than 20/40. The cataract sx should provided a better indication where his vision will stand. You should ask your physician if cataract sx will improve the eye-sight? Sometimes if the patient has severe retinopathy/retina detachment,.doctors would perform cataract sx just to get a better view of the back of the eye more-so improving the eyesight. If a patient has a mature cataract, sometimes that can make it difficult for the doctor to look at the retina, etc.

My husband is an alcholicwho stopped drinking is it safe for him to drink Odoul's a non alcohol beer?

Answer:
Perfectly safe. It might even help because he won't feel left out from drinking but he won't undergo the bad effects of drinking again.
i wouldnt o douls does taste a lot like normal beer, and some people can be triggered just by the taste of it
No just the fizz of beer ( non) would make him crave the real thing. Just my opin.
I would say no simply because of this: It tastes like beer. This is something he's trying to get away from entirely. Not just the alcohol, all of it. If an addict gets something close to what he used to have, it makes it more likely he'll go for the real thing. Doesn't matter what it is.
Why? Odouls is gross. Granted, it's NON-alcoholic, but it MAY remind him of why he likes alcohol so much in the first place. Like people who stopped smoking around OTHERS who smoke. Try soda.
He shouldn't even go there...but the thing is, HE should be in charge of his drinking/not drinking. HE should be the one on line asking questions. Or going to AA. Or calling his therapist, or what ever support he is using. If you are trying to keep him sober, that's codependency. Al-Anon is for the family of alcoholics and addicts. It's all about keeping the focus on oneself, not the other person.I know you love him and want to help. But he has to do it for himself.
35 days is not enough.4 years then he wont want it..he needs help...AA please go to meetings.or else he wont make it.its to hard to stop and keep off it...
I wouldn't tempt fate by even giving some one a taste of something familiar that resembles alcohol.Stick with coffee, tea or soda.Water is always good for you.
If he honestly plans on staying sober then that question would be the last thing on his mind. To even be thinking about it shows lack of willpower to stay sober. No it is not safe for him to drink it or any other non alcohol or alcohol product.
its ok. its unalcoholic isnt it?
No, he should not drink it! You have to change people, places and things to remain sober. He doesn't need to drink something that will bring back memories of his drinking days. He should find a new drink...a soft drink or coffee or flavored water.
webmd.com
Absolutely not! Quitting drinking is a psychological change as well. He has to get away from thinking that way. Physical withdrawal only lasts for relatively short period of time. The psychological withdrawal can last a lifetime.Don't do it. It's an unnecessary step in the wrong direction.
NO BECAUSE THAT WILL MAKE HIM CRAVE THE REAL THING. THE BEST THING TO DO IT KEEP BUSY AND THINK ABOUT OTHER THINGS. GOOD LUCK TO HIM I AM PROUD THAT HE IS TRYING TO STOP.
Good luck to your husband but please stay away from anything that may cause a relapse

My husband is 83 years young. But has very low blood pressure..It stays about 104/76.?

With his blood that low he stays sleepy.Last Sunday it was 88/71 so I took him to Hospital and they gave him and IV and sent him home.He has been on a low salt diet so wondering if he had more salt if that would help.
Answer:
My dear,
A BP of 104/76 mm/Hg is not all that low. Here is a high to low list of what is what for adult BP:CATEGORY - SYSTOLIC / DIASTOLIC
Hypertension - 140 mmHg or higher / 90 mmHg or higher
Prehypertension - 120鈥?39 mmHg / 80鈥?9 mmHg
Normal - 90鈥?20 mmHg / 60鈥?0 mmHg
Hypotension - 90 mmHg or lower / 60 mmHg or lowerAs you can see from the list 104/76 mmHg is very good. It's smack in the middle of normal. It's even more impressive at his age.You were right to be concerned and seek help for him when it dropped to 88/71 mmHg. However, since the doctors only gave him an IV I suspect he had become dehydrated. That can cause a drop in BP. Be sure he drinks enough liquids (water is best)For more information on Low Blood Pressure see the links below.Terry
go to americanheart.org to help u out
83 years old. 83. I know this might sound harsh but normally when people get old their heart slows down. You should enjoy the time you have with him now
You said they gave him an IV, what kind, is he dehydrated? that causes low blood pressure also. Low blood pressure is usually anything less than 90/60. 104/76 is not too low, but the 88/71 was extremely low as you know. Low blood pressure is generally considered dangerous when it drops suddenly or is accompanied by symptoms, such as dizziness or fainting. Severely low blood pressure can indicate serious heart, endocrine or neurological disorders and can deprive the brain and other vital organs of oxygen and nutrients, leading to shock, which can be a life-threatening condition.I don't know what other health problems your husband has or medications he is on or what kind of diet your doctor has him on. I don't know if it is a good idea to increase his salt intake unless you ask the doctor about this. Since we don't know the full extent of his health, you should ask his doctor before changing diet, etc. Also take his blood pressure daily and keep a record to show the doctor also. I know this is not a straight forward yes or no answer, but just trying to help. Best wishes to you. Click on the below links if you would like more info regarding low blood pressure.

very normal when you get older everything slows down.
A pressure of 104/76 is actually pretty normal. I would just make sure he is drinking enough, dehydration is a common cause of low BP. Also, keep in mind, high blood pressure is a common cause of strokes so low is probably better than high in his case.
I have bad news - with a BP of 104/76 he might last forever. If his BP goes low, Terry gave you the ranges - Try giving him a cup of water or two. This is particularly true if he is taking a diuretic. If you are holding back on fluids sometimes that stuff can dry you out. Another thought, my father had trouble because he was having to frequently go to the bathroom, you know the prostrate thing. He was on diuretics too. He stopped drinking water (much). He dried out so much he started having leg cramps and getting dizzy.

My husband has lupus, will vitamins help more then his medicines? please help!?

Answer:
Your husband will be most successful if he works closely with his rheumatologist. Vitamins and supplements can be good, but some can actually interact with his meds or even make the lupus worse. Lupus can cause PERMANENT organ damage. If he had something as serious as cancer would you think eating grass would cure it? If he had a blockage in his heart blood vessels would you simply feed him a vitamin? Of course not. Lupus can me mild to severe and anywhere in between. I always wonder why, when we know it it not natural for our immune systems to turn against ourselves, do people think "natural" solutions are the only way? It takes a combination of things in consultation with your rheumatologist to control this wolf.
it would help but he should still take medications, because my mother's cousin died because she never took the medications needed.
debra, no not necesarily, in fact if not specialized to his needs they can hurt. he cant just pop a multi, and go on his way. I tried that, some well most had too much of certain vitimans which my liver couldnt break down, and I got ill, or The vitamin was wrong. you may end up with a cabinet of different supplements, but what we do, is take specific ones and leave the rest out, and let foods pick up any deficincies, there may be, they wont hurt me, but 200% of somthing that is recomended daily can destroy an already vulnerable organ, in my case liver.with lupus, you have to be so careful. anything can turn on our bodies at any time, causing the autoimmune reaction. meaning, our own cells see it as a foreign invader though it is not, and can cause illness though it did not exsist before. for example. to much vitamin A in my case, can lead to more liver damage. so aske you dr which he feels he needs

My husband has just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I need to find out what he can eat.?

I'd appreciate it if someone can give me some ideas on recipies, what to eat, what not to eat and why not. Thanks everyone
Answer:
For information of this nature you really shouldn't be asking on here - go to a professional organisation where you'll get tried and tested information of quality. Don't forget, you're looking at somebody's LIFE here - not a pimple on their bottom - and as for the first answer. ohmigord ! ! !
http://www.diabetic.org.uk/management/ty...I have no personal experience but this page looks like it might be quite useful for you. Good luck
There are some great cookbooks out there and even online you can get some great recipies.
He must watch his portions and stick to low carbs (carbs turn into sugar) and low sugar. He should eat 3 meals a day with 3 snacks - morning, afternoon and before bed. The one before bed is important to keep his sugar levels up through the night. You can actually have some carbs at that point - maybe a piece of bread with a small amount of peanut butter (if he hasn't used his fat allottment that day).
The Diabetes Association has charts and your doctor should have referred you to a dietician who will tell you how much he can eat and when. How many fats, etc per day. If not, call the Diabetes Association and ask them to mail you a chart and any other information they can provide you with.
Once you know what can and can't be eaten (no more piling the margarine on the bread for example) it's easy to control with diet.
Good Luck.
Limit his carbs.your body turns carbs into sugar. Thats the biggy. Eat fruits and drink juices in moderation. Of course the simple one is to cut out sugar.teas, colas, foods high in sugar. An easy start for most is cutting out breads with meals...most ppl eat biscuits of some sort with atleast one meal. Add more low carb veggies like salads, green beans, peas, cabbage, ect. Look at the labels on your food, it will amaze you how much fat, carbs and sugar are in everything.
just eat a balanced diet you should be given information off your gp. try the nhs website for more information. one thing i do know is sugar free ready made jelly is really nice. good luck it shouldn't effect him to much. if he is carrying wieght around his tummy it may be a good idea to see a dietition. for adivice
My mother is a type 2 diabetic who has to inject 4 times a day. She doesn't have that much of a sweet tooth but does love her puddings! With much experimenting, we find that we can use Fructose - which is a fruit suger which works in a different way within the body to normal suger - so is able to have many puddings. things like Apple Crumble/Pie are made using Slender or similar. Fruit cake - christmas cake and puddings are made using Fructose and sweet fruit like dates etc. They are delicious. We even made our own ice cream last year. Favourites included Coconut and Lime - yum and Chocolate. Haven't worked out a way to do icing yet - but am working on it. Just keep eating healthily watching the fat content and use all the alternatives. Keep a close eye on your blood suger level. hope this helps.
He can eat mostly anything he'd like to eat however just watch the carbs and don't fall for the myth that eating sweets or sugar causes Diabetes. Also make sure that he keeps something sweet close by such as some candy juice and a regular soda.
please dont used yahoo for this kind of question go to your hopital and see a expert or you could cause a lot of problems
Try dlife.com. They have the most amazing recipes and you don't have to do anything except buy the stuff and cook it. It has already figured out carb and calorie counts. This is a great web site for diabetics. You can get all kinds of info and professional help. Good luck.
Your husband should have been advised on diet by his doctor, but basically, unless told otherwise, follow normal healthy diet guidelines, as we all should. Plenty of fruit and vegetables, reduce fat, salt and sugar, and perhaps cut down on portion size. If you go to the Diabetes UK website, http://www.diabetes.org.uk you'll find plenty of useful information there, and they do have recipe books as well as helpful leaflets. While on Diabetes UK site check out their '10 steps to eating well'. Some of the larger supermarket websites have useful information too. There are also lots of books you can choose from.Although you may have to be fairly strict to start with, until his diabetes is under control, by which time you'll know a lot more about what he can and cannot eat.
It's not that bad - really, but do make sure he follows his doctors advice.
Get the book "The GI Diet" by Rick Gallop. (No im not spamming!). When I was diagnosed type 2 a year ago I started on this diet. Its great, it helps with weight loss and keeps blood glucose levels stable.
Also get him to visit the web site below. Its by a type 2 diabetic for diabetics. It has lots of good info and was an enormous help to me.
I first want to say that I am so sorry for you and your husband. You have a long road ahead of you but,it dose not have to be hard.I am 24 years old and I have been diabetic for a 14 years old.Things like meat, cheese, eggs, veggies are all great. You want to stay away from lots of pastas, breads, and of course sweets.Low carb foods are the best to eat.Y ou can still have some of the breads and pastas just not large amounts.Best of luck to you both.
My mum has type 2 diabetes, has had it for a few years now, and she was told to eat a balanced diet, try and limit the amount of simple sugars (chocolate, sweets, biscuits etc), have up to three pieces of fruit in a day, eat wholemeal bread, potatoes, pasta etc. I'd also not recommend anything with a lot of artificial sweetner in it, it can sometimes fool the body into thinking it has more sugar available than it has, and it then goes out of chemical balance. So if he sticks to a balanced diet, and gets an exercise regime started things should stay relatively settled for him.

My husband has had pain in the chest and tingling in his fingertips...?

I just found out that this has been ailing him for the last few days, he is currently out of state. Can anyone give me some advice?
Answer:
Tell him to go to the emergency room. Many people have minor heart attacks and strokes and do not even know it, because they only have minor discomfort. They are almost always a warning sign for a major event. TELL HIM TO DO NOT WAIT GO NOW!
Tell him to go to the dr immediately. He may have a heart attack.
Tell him to go to the hospital
Tell him to see a doctor.
Tell him to go to the Emergency Room and get himself checked out!
Start looking for a new one now...
Sure can. See a Doc or ER NOW!
DOCTOR.. i hate it when men dont fess up when they are sick..
Get to the hospital! Even if it turns out to be just stress related its better safe than sorry says the cliche.
I would try to convince him to go see a doc where he is.
Go to the doctor, or have him call ask a nurse in his area if he isn't comfortable going to the ER just yet...
He needs to go to a doctor, like most men he'll ignore it until it's too late to do anything about it.
Yes take him to the doctor,or tell him to go the the er and check himself in.Thats the best advice you can get and give him
heart attack symptoms
yeah go to the hospital asap..that sounds like mini strokes..it can be from heat also...go find out quick
get him to the hospital right away! That's the sign for a heart attack!
pray that he is OK, call your health care provider, send him to the emergency room, asap
Angina http://www.medicinenet.com/angina/page3.
Sounds like he might be havin heart problems or something I am not very great with stuff like that but I heard somewhere that it could be and just make sure he dont eat stuff like steak and makesure he drinks stuff like water maybe a little bit of beer not 2 much though
He needs to go to a hospital immediately. He could be having a heart attack.
Sounds like a heart attach is coming or.. what my dad had, a pinched nerve in the neck. Both are very very bad and need to be checked out by a doctor right now. Tell him to go to the emergency room right now. Do not wait one more second!!
Oh god this must be hard for you! This is the begining of a heart attack! It may happen soon. call him and tell him to get to a hospital ASAP!
He should see a doctor (go to the nearest hospital) right away...he could be experiencing heart related problems that might be very serious or potentially even fatal! The only way to know for sure is to see a doctor...and don't delay! If it's not heart-related, it could be anxiety related. Sometimes anxiety attacks can produce symptoms like this..but generally anxiety does not produce chest pain. Have him get to an emergency room QUICKLY. If he won't go on his own, call an ambulance.
Your husband should see a doctor as soon as possible.
Sounds like it~ He should undergo a complete cardiovascular evaluation. This includes a history of other risk factors for coronary heart disease such as smoking, blood pressure and diabetes.Good luck you. He should be fine if checked up early.
go to the hospital asap
Tell him to go to the nearest emergency room, these symptoms indicate possibly issues with the heart
Here is a website that you can check symptoms but I'd still go to a hospital:http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.j...
He's probably already had a heart attack and doesn't realize it. I'd go to hospital pretty soon if I were you.
he needs to go see a doctor he maybe having a heart attack or strock.

go to the doctor thats way to long to be waiting
he needs to go to the doctor. He could have something wrong with his colon.
you need to go to a doctor immediately. I don't know what exactly it is but I remember someone in my family once had it and it was horrible go to the doctor. Also, is he experiencing any pain if he is than thats even worst.
pl refer doctor
Ask him what's wrong.
has he seen his doctor it a good start
Your guess is as good as mine. In other words why have you both been waiting a year trying to figure out what this is all about? You may be doing more harm by waiting. Make an appointment and get him to the doctor. You'll find out the answer from him/her.Don't let him talk you out of making an appointment of which he should be doing himself.
I think he's gotten his fair share of attention while you sit there and worry. What do you two do all day? Sit there and discuss what you're going to do about this?Get to the doctor.

My husband has been attending the cancer unit at our local hosp. his body isnt producing bone marrow properly?

and his platelets were at 65 last appointment. His next appointment isnt til 8thAugust but over the last 2 weeks he has came out in like blood blisters over his body and has had a few headaches and blured vision. And also his walking has got a bit more difficult with his joints in his ankles and feet.
Even tough he hasnt been diagnosed with anything yet I am a bit concerned. He doesnt want me to phone his GP what should I do I am sick withh worrying and I know he is to but trying not to show it please give me some advise if anyone has been in this position or a medical profesional that could advise me thank you.
Answer:
Good heavens, what a lot of speculation. So many people here are handing out death sentences. He doesn't even have a diagnosis yet, much less a fatal one!Tell him to quit being such a putz and drag him into the doctor. His symptoms certainly do sound serious, and if he doesn't want to go, be sure that he knows how reassuring it would be to you to have him checked out. Assuming that this is something like 'adult leukemia' (CML, usually) it is now much more treatable than it was even just 5 or 6 years ago. So much so that some perspectives treat it more as a chronic illness than as a fatal one. Please get him checked out and diagnosed before panicing. Good luck to you both!MM*In re-reading my note prior to submitting, I think that it sounds a bit flip. I do not mean in any way to minimize your concerns. Indeed, he does sound like he has something worrisome going on and needs to see a doctor ASAP. But do, please, get a diagnosis before worrying too much.
It sounds like adult leukemia...
It sounds as if he has cancer, and I am sorry but although he is trying to be strong and protect you, he really needs your support as he works towards the end of his life. There are various support groups for families of persons dying with cancer, I suggest you join one local to your area.
I have been where you are now and I have great sympathy for both of you. Explain to our husband that his denial is making you ill, and it will, so to help keep you strong if the worst is to come he should at least see his GP if not his Oncologist. If he still refuses then you must contact your doctor and explain your worries. The doctor could then make a "chance" visit and discover the problems himself. It is much easier to deal with the problem once you know what it is. I found my imagination was worse than the reality. I hope everything goes well for you and your husband.
I say get him to the doctor to find out the problem and then you will be able to investigate the problem and try to find a solution. I would ask him to make the appointment or tell him you will make it for him. It may get him mad but hopefully he will get over it quickly. He's probably scared. Never give up hope.
My husband also had blood blisters over his lymph's tissues, in armpit, gr pin, and below his ear. He couldn't swallowed any type of food, even the gruel. First time, I thought he had some pancreas/digestive problems, but I was concerned with swollen in his body, I was thinking something serious happened, he couldn't walking, and got several mild heart attack.
After several day, he had blurred vision, and the swollen was getting bigger. He was suspecting as CML patient, or adult leukemia. I was too late to know it, he passed away within 3 months. It's terrible.
Just explain to him, that it will getting worse for him if he doesn't want to cooperate with you, it will hurt you. Somehow, he needs your full support, and courageous to face his health problems. Convince him, that you always be with him for whatever condition, even in sick or health.
If he does have cancer, it will most likely be luekimia or lymopha. He could get a donor for a bone marrow transplant.
I am sorry. It is tough for you when he doesnt want you to call. I definitely dont want him to be mad at you yet I believe he needs attention. Can you persuade him? Is there another Dr he would let you call that is not his GP? Can you matter-of-factly say well its just a routine report that I am making to the Dr for you so he will no since its not fair to not give the Drs feedback ,so they know if the treatment is working? I would try hard to persuade him and then get him in ASAP to someone. He deserves to be comfortable! If all that doesnt work then just tell him you have to !God Bless You
It sounds like leukemia which my sister and cousin both have. Although it does sound more like leukemia another possibility is lymphoma which is simular in some ways. Hope all goes well, my thoughts are with you and your husband.

My husband bleeds from his nose.?

He uses headache powders daily. Could it be the reason? He also smokes
Answer:
Yes, aspirin causes your blood to thin. Have him stop talking the powders and replace them with Tylenol. If he still has the nose bleeds have him tested for hemophilia or Von Willa brands desies
MAYBE if he'd stop smoking he wouldn't need headache powders and MAYBE if he didn't take headache powders everyday he wouldn't get nosebleeds- jeez! Hello, this is the 21st century calling: SMOKING IS BAD FOR YOU!

My husband and i have been getting these red sore bumps on our arms and legs, what could this be?

the bumps are red and puss filled, and hurt really bad, they come every so often and we seem to get 2 or 3 of them at a time, does anyone have a clue to what this may be?
Answer:
bed bugs- get in the exterminators
Do they itch? Both of you get them? It sounds like an insect. Maybe bed bugs.
I get them, too. It could be a form of acne known as a sebaceous cyst. Try not to let them burst because they hurt worse and get infected.
You probably have eczema. Its these little red bumps on you that itch and when you scratch, they will bleed a little. My friend has them. If not you should just put cream or lotion on your legs. If these things don't help, you should maybe see a doctor.
!get well!
maybe its an allergy to something in your house...bed bugs is also a possibility!Try sleeping in a different room and/or on a different bed for a couple of days and see if they go away..if they do you'll know it's bed bugs...good luck!!
They are a Staph infection if, are red or purplish and raised, often soft around the outer edges They hurt like he--. and if they break the pus will be bloody. Start using an antibacterial soap to bathe with. I used to use physohex years ago, but talk to your Dr .He'll prescribe something a little more up to date

My hives,oh my god?

I have hives for like 6 months,i tried doctors, they gave me all what you can think of antihistamine drugs, tried now for a week some of this product called lacitrex,i still have em .any suggestions ,i am a student and with the side effect caused by the drugs,i really can t concentrate on what i m reading.please if any boby can help,i m in a voracious need for help.
Answer:
I had hives caused by a reaction to clarithromycin, and they lasted for about two months.Has your doctor tried putting you on corticosteroids?
There's a few side effects from those, too, but the only one I had was a little water retention in my face.
Self-Care at Home * Stop any food or medicine identified as the cause of the hives or angioedema.
* In very mild cases, no treatment at all may be required.
* If symptoms are making you uncomfortable, take a nonprescription antihistamine, such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl), by mouth, per the package instructions or as directed by your health care provider, until symptoms subside. These can be effective for mild episodes. CAUTION: Antihistamines may make you too drowsy to drive or operate machinery safely.
* Cool compresses or baths may help with the discomfort.
* Avoid hot baths or showers.
* Avoid direct sunlight.
* Wear light, loose-fitting clothing.
* Avoid strenuous activity or anything that might cause sweating.
* Try to relax and reduce stress.Severe reactions: Do not attempt to treat severe reactions or to wait it out at home. Go immediately to the nearest emergency department or call an ambulance. Here are some things you can do while waiting for the ambulance: * Try to stay calm.
* If you can identify the cause of the reaction, prevent further exposure.
* Take an antihistamine, such as 1-2 tablets or capsules of diphenhydramine (Benadryl), if you can swallow without difficulty. The liquid form of diphenhydramine (Benadryl) can also be used at 2-4 teaspoons (10-20 mL) per dose.
* If you are wheezing or having difficulty breathing, use an inhaled bronchodilator, such as albuterol (Proventil), if one is available. These inhaled medications dilate the airway.
* If you are feeling light-headed or faint, lie down and raise your legs higher than your head to help blood flow to your brain.
* If you have been given an epinephrine kit, inject yourself as you have been instructed. The kit provides a premeasured dose of epinephrine, a prescription drug that rapidly reverses the most serious symptoms (see Follow-up).
* Bystanders should administer CPR to a person who becomes unconscious and stops breathing or does not have a pulse.
* If at all possible, you or your companion should be prepared to tell medical personnel what medications you take and your allergy history.
I had hives for weeks, so I really sympathize with you. I know how horrible it is. What I did was narrow down what I could be allergic to and then stopped it. In my case it was caused by iron pills (ferrous sulfate). It seems I have an allergy to the sulfate. It took me weeks because I couldn't believe a food supplement could be causing my problem. You have to eliminate one thing at a time. Start with anything new that happened or you starting eating right before the hives started. Common allergies: dust, mold, pollen, nuts, milk, soy. Just about anything really. Just eliminate one thing at a time. Another possiblity is stress. My daughter broke out in hives during her SAT test.
I would go to an allergist. They can tell you very quickly what you are allergic to. But it could be something like a new soap or laundry detergent, shampoo, etc that you began using about 6 months ago. Try to think back and remember what you had changed at that time, and eliminate it, or if that is not possible, switch to only hypoallergenic soaps, detergents, etc., and use them for awhile to see if improves. For laundry, they have All Free brand and others like it, which have no perfumes, dyes, which are usually what people are allergic to. Use soap and lotion like Eucerin or Neutragena, with no perfumes. (Those are the specific brands my allergist recommended to me)
well if the hives r that bad put sarna but if it's everywhere only put it on ur arms, legs, and ur face for a liitle while everyday
I feel for you, that really sounds miserable. Absolutly go to a specialist. If your Dr isn't helping you, you need to see someone who will. There is definately someone out there who can help, its just a matter of finding the right specialist. You could ask your Dr for a specialist recommendation, but it sounds like he is not much help, so you might be better off searching for yourself or asking another GP for a recommendation.good luck with your studies :)

My Heart Rate?

Alright, just so you know, I'm 16, male, relative good shape.I went to the local drugstore and took a blood pressure test (they have a machine). It spit these stats at me:Systolic = 119
Diastolic = 64
Pulse = 54Is this good? I looked up heart rate on wikipedia, and from what I took from it, I have a really low pulse, and bad blood pressure? These stats are bad, right? The machine said that for an adult, Systolic under 120 and diastolic under 80 are best? But 119/64 is higher than 120/80, so I have high blood pressure? Also, is my heart rate too low?Sorry for the length of question, but thanks!
Answer:
Those are perfect. average is... 120/80 for blood pressure and 60bpm for heart rate. you are right on target my friend! youre blood pressure is lower then average... not by much so you are right on target. A high blood pressure would be like 200/160 so to speak, and a low pulse would be like 30.
Sounds good to me all of them
I THINK YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE LOOKS GREAT. THE PULSE DOES SEEM A LITTLE LOW, BUT I'M NOT SURE ON THAT. BLOOD PRESSURE CAN CHANGE EVERY MINUTE.
Everything is fine. There is nothing wrong with any of those stats. A high blood pressure is more like over 150/90's and low would be under 100/50. As for a pulse low would be under 45 and high would be over 100. Even with numbers like that some people just normally have low or high pressures. It all depens on the person and what is going on around them or what they are feeling at the time. Your blood pressure can change from one arm to the other as well. There can also be changes in your blood pressure do to stress, pain, whats going on around you. I would not worry one bit everything looks fine. Good for you though to check and take an interest in what your body is doing. Not many 16 year olds care.
Your pulse rate reflects that of a person who is in very good physical condition. It is reinforced with good blood pressure readings.
But, It has been proven that most drugstore bp monitors are very inaccurate so why don't you see your Doctor he/she can give you the best assessment.
Many things can effect your bp reading for example studies have shown that when men have to got to the bathroom (pee) it raises their bp substantially. Then there is white coat syndrome which is when people get riled just because they are at the doctors and that raises there bp.Just be aware if you see your Doctor remain calm because it is no big deal and then your reading will be very accurare.

My heart rate is 125 and i am 24 years old is this normal?

i am 24 year old female my heart rate has been 125 all day. i just took for the first time today prilosec, for posible ulser or golblader problem, i do have askthma so my heart rate is normaly 100 or so not ever 125, i have not been excersizing today what could it be??
Answer:
First, a resting heart rate of more than 100 bpm in healthy adults is not "normal". The following are accepted as "normal":For resting heart rate:
newborn infants; 100 to 160 beats per minute
children 1 to 10 years; 70 to 120 beats per minute
children over 10 and adults (including seniors); 60 to 100 beats per minute
well-trained athletes; 40 to 60 beats per minute
SOURCE: MedlinePlus - http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/...Second, Prilosec庐 alone is not expected to cause a fast heart rate (Tachycardia). However, it can interact with many Rx and OTC drugs and Herbal and Nutritional supplement's. See this link for more information:
SOURCE: Drugs.com - http://www.drugs.com/mtm/prilosec.html...Many things can cause a fast heart rate on a temporary basis. If the problem continues, the best answer is to see your doctor. If you begin to see other problems or symptoms at the same time, a visit to the ER would probably be wise. Other things you might watch for are:
- Feeling Light headed
- Feeling unusually tired or sleepy
- Feeling unusually excitable
- Body aches
- Numbness or pain (especially in the left arm, shoulder, upper back, neck, jaw or face)
- Diarrhea
- Dark or bloody stool (bloody stool is always a cause to seek emergency medical attention)
- Upset stomach
- Anything else that is unusual or not "normal"The link in the source box below will provide you good information on Prilosec庐.Hope this helps you.Terry
It could be many things but perhaps you want to check with your Dr. It could be anemia, due to medications or something else. Do not worry, just ask someone who can take care of you, not someone on this site.
Tachycardia is not associated with Prilosec. Do you use an MDI? Tachycardia is associated with bronchodilators. If this continues, contact your doctor or the doctor on call.
125 is too high. TALK TO YOUR DR. If you feel pain, call 911
Tachycardia is absolutely associated with Prilosec. It's right there on the package when you look at the full prescribing information. Ask your pharmicist to look it up for you. I would definitely talk to your doctor and let him know your concerns. Other causes of tachycardia include anemia, hyperthyroid and heart rhythm problems. If it continues after you stop prilosec, ask him to check your heart by wearing a holter monitor for 24 hours and by sending you to a cardiologist.
125 is too much. Do see a doctor who can diagnose it and give you the proper guidance to lower the heart rate. If you heart beats at that rate its taxing itself too much. The normal rate is around 70 or so. So the heart is working almost twice as hard.

My Heart is racing?

My heart has been racing for at least 4 years. It used to happen just once a month and race for about an hour or two. I had to wear a heart monitor but they said it was normal for a kid my age (i'm 15). But now its happening almost everyday or every two days. It can last from a couple of seconds to a couple of hours. And the other wierd part is that sometimes it happens when im relaxing, like sitting watching tv or lying down. My mom says it just from eating to much sugar, can that be true? Can anyone who has had the same problem tell me if this is normal or serious. Thanks.
Answer:
I can't imagine why your parents and Doctors are not getting to the bottom of this. God willing, it may be nothing to worry about but clearly you are worried about it which must add additional stress to you. Please ask your parents to intervene for you and get some answers for you. I will pray for you because it has to be very scary for you. Take care. You shouldn't have to ask strangers and unqualified individuals to determine what is wrong with you. This is certainly for a Dr. to help you with.I am sorry you didn't get the help you need in the beginning.
Your diet could definatly be a big cause of this but I would definatly go to the doctor!
Too much sugar...probably not. Are you consuming a lot of caffeine or energy drinks?
i get the agsact same thing and people say it's normal, but sorry i have no clue what it is.
does it hurt when it hapens?
e-mail killingourloneliness@yahoo.com
that happened to me when i was ur age and now im 18 and still does sometimes and its from a thyroid condition and too much caffiene, so it helped when i stopped drinking caffinated stuff like juice and soda, or this might sound funny but the doctors said try to **** because it regulates and put s pressre on the heart to slow it down, hope that helps, it did 4 me
I would see a psycologist/ psychiatrist. Alot of people dont see a 15 year old boy stressing out that much because be cause the question is "what does a 15 year old boy need to stress over." However, this can be one of the most stressful tiomes for a young lad because he is going through the ROLE vs. IDENTITY phase of his life. All tyopes of different things are going through his mind about who he is going to be, what hes going to be and what type of family role that he needs to play. Also, peer pressure can add alot. that is one of those scenarios that doesn't just pop up one day that the preverbial "just say no," decisions but all types of smaller expierences that add up. Your elevated heart rate just might be due to anxiety.
All of these answers were good. Did your cardiologist do a 24 hour holter monitor test to see what the heart rhytmn is when you have these bouts of tachycardia?? And, as a matter of routine, the doctor should check your TSH (thyroid) and CBC for anemia. In the meantime, cut caffiene...if it is just what iis called premature ventricular contractions, they can give you propranolol, or do ablation. Ask your doc...
good luck to you
Hey it might be mitral regurgitation, a leaky valve in your heart, which results in palpitations(fast heart beats, uncomfortable feeling of heart beeping). Its happening to me really fast right now and it feels so uncomfortable and hurts. hope this helps.

My heart is crushed..I'm losing someone I love and I feel like dying..HELP!!?

One person that i love so much and care about had a terrible car accident 2 days ago...Everyone besides him died instantly, and he's in a very deep and serious coma. His body functions are working but he has lot of broken bones including his ribs, collar bone and a fracture on his skull. He has serious brain damage and hasn't gained consciousness yet.His brain and neural system hasn't reacted to the medicine he's been given. The doctors and brain surgeons say that he can only survive through miracles and my hope is fading each minute.I feel like i'm dying as well,i feel miserable i can't eat, sleep or think about other stuff my mind is always on him and how much i love him..Please help me,have you been through something like this?Any suggestion or consolation is appreciated...
Answer:
I am so sorry for your loss. I know you feel helpless. But you have to remember that at least you did have him in your life. People that loved once are most likely to love again. He is now your angel above watching over you and if you take in your surroundings you will feel his spirit with you. Talk to him out loud. It sounds weird, but it helps. I lost my 6 yr old great niece on May 4th. Everytime I hear a Gwen Stefani song I can see her singing and dancing along with the song. One of that last things she did was see a Gwen Stefani concert, one of her biggest dreams at 6 yrs old. I take comfort in that her dream came true. It is going to take time, but you will get through this and you will always have those memories with him.
There isn't much you can do, unfortunately. You're grieving and you kind of just have to wait it out. Try to think about the good times with him and hope for the best.
oh i am SOO sorry... things like that happen in life, things that hurt people a lot...but u just have to acknowledge the situation, and its normal to feel the way u r feeling. cry if u feel like it, it makes u feel better. stay active, do sports that will take ur mind somewhere else. countinue eating right, eating will also improve ur mood. get some sleep. good luck, i hope ur loved one gets better, and i hope u feel better. :)
You need to remember it hurts b/c we are still here and going to have to live w/out our loved ones while they move on to the next life. If he was a believer then he has moved on to a better place w/ no pain or sorrows and you are left here to continue to live and change lives for other people here. It still hurts, but just remember that he is in a better place and you have been left b/c your time here is not done and God still has a plan for you. Pray for help from God. God does not give us more than we can handle and asking for help from God can cure any problem you may have.
just have faith and hope that he makes it, because there is a chance he will, but I really cant help you get over the pain, cuz pain like that is so strong.
i will pray for you and him.
had a past nephew in a similar situation just last yr.two died, the driver not injured, and he was in the hospital for months. tough first two wks, didn't know if he would live.
he survived ... still hard for the family cause they lost another nephew just a few yrs previous to b-day drinking binge..
pray.
I'm not going to try to explain why these things happen because none of us really know. All I will say is that you have my sympathy and you and your friend are in my thoughts. Good luck to you both.
I don't want to say that I understand- I have never been in your position- but I can certainly feel for you.If your friend does not recover, I would try to remember that God (or whatever faith you believe in) has called this person to a higher purpose, and that where they are going there is no pain.If they do recover, take this giant seismic event in your life as an opportunity to take stock of all you have accomplished and wish to accomplish in your life. Above all, I'd try to think of how my friend would want me to feel about whatever the outcome is, and try to live my life in a way that would make them and myself proud. I'm thinking of you and your friend tonight.
God that is horrible. I have personally been going through a difficult time lately, but then (for a reason) I read your question and find myself feeling for you and your love, and it took me out of my less serious problems. First I want to say I am sorry for all that is happening. Second, I would say that just reaching out and 'talking' or communicating will help you. You can only pray for a miracle. He is someplace aware that you love him and are in pain. I believe it is only natural to feel as you do. If you are a religious person perhaps you can go to the Chapel or someplace that the hospital provides. Or maybe you can visit a house of worship in your neighborhood and talk to a Priest. Minister, Rabbi or someone who can guide you.Talking is good. I wish you only the best and your friend all the love and hope that you both deserve.
Yup, been there. First of all, spend as much time with him as possible. Even tho he is hurt a lot, and coma %26 brain damage, continue to talk with him. Tell him how you feel. Even read to him, whatever. It can't hurt him. It might even register in some deep part of his mind, and comfort him. If you tell him all the things you wanted to say, it will definitely help you.
It may help if you start attending a grief support group, or one run thru hospice.
Another thing, if you do lose him, don't just hide away and be alone. It helps so much to be out with other people. Forces your thoughts outward, rather than mourning on and on inward.
Pray for him. Start another question and ask everyone who reads it to pray for him also. Pray that he doesn't have to suffer. Whether it takes him or leaves him here. Just pray for his suffering to end. If you are a true friend you will put his feelings and well being before your own pain. It is hard to do this, but you will know that you are doing the best thing you can for him. I have lost people I love and I know how devastating it is to see them suffer. It is hard to let them go, but I would not bring them back and watch them suffer again for anything. I have also had loved ones who I thought might die(one was in the same shape as your friend) and then they pulled through. My friend who was in the car wreck broke all his bones in his face, punctured his lung, sustained internal injuries, and brain trauma and both legs were broke. He was in a coma for a week. All you can do is pray for him and pray that God will give the doctors the knowledge and ability to treat him as best as they can. I will also keep you and him in my prayers. Send me an email and let me know how he is doing. I hope everything goes well.
Keep a positive attitude. flow positive energy to him.
do not give up on him. he will prevail. I have friend that had a similar life threatening situation. everyone that knows her flowed nothing but good thoughts towards her and she is well today. it is not a god thing. it is not praying. it may sound bizarre. but there is energy in this world that can change the dynamics of situations. but you must concentrate hard on his
recovering. put your good positive energy towards him and not your dispair. your dis pare does nothing for him. think only of his recovery. your crushed feelings are not important right now.Miracles do happen.
Do not give up. Every day he is a live is a chance of him getting better. The brain is a very complicated thing,do not count it out, until he has left this world. There have been people who were counted out because of brain trauma and then poof, things began to change. I am not saying this is what will happen here. What I am saying do not give up hope until he is gone. Pray for strength.
What you r going through is normal. But you r not doin him or yourself any good by not taking good care of yourself.
Sorry. the best thing to do is to talk to any close family or friends, also if possible try to see a doctor or counselor as they can maybe give you ideas on how to cope with this
i am so sorry to hear your bad news my heart goes out to you ive been in a similar situation and its the feeling of not being able to help him that hurts a lot. i also felt i was dying was unable to eat or sleep just like you.there really isnt a lot you can do at the moment, just remember the good times you shared with him and even if the worst does hapen nobody can take away your love for him and the memories you have of him. take care of yourself, god bless you if you wantto keep in touch with me please do.
In this time all you need is to be there for him and talk to him out loud trust me they can hear you, and talk about everything the weather your day but the more you feel bad as you love him so the more he won't get better. Remember love is the strenght and he needs that more then anything sure it's hard to stay positive but if he hears that you went for a walk and picked up this beautilful flower and the day was great and the sun on your skin .. Making your day with happy thoughts makes him happy, i know it's hard but he would not want you to feel this way and remember it hurts him to hear you full of pain. the more you are positive the more he's gonna know that you'll always love him and not forget him and he's gonna be able to go in peace knowing you're ok. As i'm sure he's holding on to make sure you're ok even if he''s in so much pain. the doc's don't know everything on the mind trus tme on this the mind of a persone no matter what the papers say is very powerfull.Take care of you and that's what i'm sure he want's more.
